ZANZIBAR
PRIVATE MARINA
The Marina project is conceived as an integrated cultural, economic, and territorial development platform, designed to activate long-term value well beyond its physical infrastructure.
It functions as a catalyst by:
- Hosting and supporting major cultural events such as Sauti za Busara, film festivals, concerts, and artistic productions.
- Introducing a dedicated open-air theatre and event arena, a currently missing infrastructure in Zanzibar, designed for performances, cinema, music, and large-scale cultural gatherings.
- Establishing a museum as a permanent cultural anchor, capable of attracting visitors year-round and extending tourism beyond seasonal peaks.
The Marina also contributes to:
Generating shared economic benefits through a centralized events and experiences office, ensuring that cultural, tourism, and commercial activities are coordinated and reinvested into the local ecosystem.m developments with a coherent, sustainable, and higher-quality model.
Extending the navigation season and strengthening Zanzibar’s role within regional yachting routes.
Replacing fragmented and obsolete tourism developments with a coherent, sustainable, and higher-quality model.
